CHICAGO, Nov. 7, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Council of Residential Specialists (CRS) is pleased to announce its 2018 Officers, Board of Directors, and Regional Vice Presidents who were elected at The Council's Annual Business Meetings, held in conjunction with the NAR Conference & Expos, taking place Nov. 1-4 in Chicago, Illinois.
Gary Williams, CRS, REALTOR® with Coldwell Banker Burnet in Edina, Minnesota, was installed as CRS's 2018 President. Williams was named CRS of the Year in 2007 and has received numerous accolades including the CRS Medallion Award in 2013. He earned his CRS Designation in 1997 and also holds an ABR, GRI and SRES designations. Williams has served in numerous leadership positions at the local, state and national level.
Michael Burkhard, CRS, continues on the board as President-Elect. Burkhard, managing broker at Bray Real Estate, Grand Junction, Colorado, became a CRS in 2006 and was awarded CRS of the Year in 2010. Dedicated to advancing the real estate profession, he also is a CIPS and GRI. He has been actively involved in CRS leadership and is a past president of the Colorado CRS.
Richard Waystack, CRS, broker associate, Jack Conway Realtor, Harwich Port, Massachusetts, was installed as First Vice President. Waystack received CRS of the Year in 2013 and recently celebrated over two decades as a CRS Designee. He most recently received the Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® Good Neighbor Award for his 100-mile walk across Cape Cod to combat homelessness.
Leigh Brown, CRS, broker/owner, RE/MAX Executive Realty, Concord, North Carolina, is the Council's immediate Past President. Brown is a 3rd generation Realtor and has been active in real estate for over 13 years. She earned her CRS designation in 2003 and also holds an ABR, CIPS, and SRES designations. Brown has held numerous leadership positions at the local, state and national level.
