VERGE Accelerate received nearly 100 submissions from across the globe. A finalist in the "Infrastructure and Built Environment" category, 75F's intelligent building automation solution is gaining recognition for significant energy savings and workplace comfort improvements, reflected in multiple awards, including the Cleantech Open.

The VERGE Accelerate pitches were delivered on the main stage of VERGE 17 to nearly 2,000 industry leaders, plus a global live streaming audience. The live voting via mobile had 75F neck-and-neck with lithium production startup Lilac Solutions; GreenBiz authorities declared a tie.

Produced by GreenBiz since 2011, VERGE is a global conference focusing on technologies and systems that accelerate sustainability solutions across sectors. One of seven program tracks, "Next-Gen Buildings" brought together building owners, facility and property managers, investors and brokers, policy makers, energy producers and solutions providers to accelerate the technologies around building automation, energy efficiency, net-zero buildings, sensors and IoT, and occupant health and well-being. 75F also attended the "Healthy & Adaptive Buildings Summit" focused on new technologies, policies and business models for flexible, intelligent building systems and happier, healthier occupants.

Despite the U.S. withdrawal from the Paris climate agreement, energy consumption remains a hot topic for socially responsible organizations. Globally, buildings are accountable for 40% of annual energy consumption and up to 30% of all energy-related greenhouse gas emissions. As a triple bottom line leader, 75F enables companies to become social, environmental and financial leaders. A perfect selection for the VERGE Accelerate program, 75F benefits people, planet and profit at the intersection of technology and sustainability.

A proud member of the United Nations Environment Program — Sustainable Buildings and Climate Initiative, 75F is committed to reducing carbon footprint, one building at a time. By developing and installing smart building technology, a U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) partner, 75F assists customers in achieving their green building and LEED certification goals.

About 75F: 75F is an award-winning, high-tech start-up disrupting the building automation industry by taking a fresh approach to HVAC, lighting and controls in commercial buildings. Its mission is to save energy, while improving comfort and air quality. Instead of reacting to problems, the 75F system predicts needs and manages buildings accordingly. Since 2015, 75F has delivered hundreds of energy-efficient spaces to enthusiastic customers who rave about the results.
