Cyber Professionals to Face-off in Panoply Capture the Cyber Flag Competition at (ISC)2 Security Congress
Security Congress attendees also have exclusive access to the cybersecurity career center to help with polishing resumes or even onsite job placement

CLEARWATER, Fla., Sept. 21, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- (ISC)² today announced that Panoply, the network assessment and network defense competition, will take place during the 2017 (ISC)² Security Congress. Cybersecurity experts will put their pen testing, hacking and network defense skills to the test as they compete with their peers in a digital game of capture the flag.

The competition is conducted by the Center for Infrastructure Assurance and Security and the National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition and is free to all conference attendees in a multi-session format.

"(ISC)2's Security Congress is the perfect location to gather the smartest and best trained cyber professionals to hack their way to victory," said Jessica Archer, Panoply. "Panoply is not only fun for participants and observers, it puts individuals' skills to the test in the face of sophisticated attack methods and helps improve defense techniques."

During Panoply, competitors virtually access a target and defend it from other competitors. Points are awarded every time the target is functional when checked by officials. Throughout the competition new resources are added to the common pool, forcing teams to choose between defending existing assets and going after new targets. The team with the highest point total at the end of the competition wins.

This competition is included in all conference passes with prizes awarded to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers from each competition day. The 1st place winner takes home a free All Access Pass to the 2018 Security Congress.

Panoply will take place September 25-27, 2017 at the JW Marriott Austin in Austin, TX. Further information about Panoply at Security Congress and the competition schedule is available here.
