Meeting Offers Participants 16 CPE Credits on Revenue, Leases and Other New Standards

NEW YORK, Sept. 14, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Audit, tax and advisory firm KPMG LLP has announced plans for its 27th Annual Accounting and Financial Reporting Symposium to help corporate financial executives understand what financial reporting and management issues will impact them next year. KPMG's popular CPE-eligible program that focuses on need-to-know emerging financial reporting issues will occur this year Nov. 30 - Dec. 1 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

"This Symposium provides financial executives from across the country with relevant information on technical, regulatory and compliance topics, along with discussions of prominent practices in financial leadership," said John Ebner, KPMG's National Managing Partner – Audit. "Executives who attend the Symposium also have the opportunity to discuss practical issues with speakers and peers."

Breakout sessions this year will include a focus on revenue recognition implementation, leases implementation, financial instruments implementation, cyber security, data and analytics, IFRS, Business Combinations, and internal controls.

The Symposium includes influential speakers from industry and the accounting profession to offer insights on critical issues and developments, including recent guidance from the FASB and SEC, global accounting issues and concerns around year-end reporting activities.

Tricia Maslov, Managing Director, KPMG Executive Education, which organizes and delivers the Symposium, said, "Our symposium provides attendees with the most recent financial reporting information to help them do their jobs in the coming year. The program's value shows with the number of attendees who return year after year."
