"Success in life insurance distribution business is all about driving innovation and efficiency," remarked LIDMA president Shervin Eftekhari.  "And each of our six finalists are breathing fire to disrupt in a positive way so that life insurance buyers can have a faster, more pleasant purchase experience.  Any one of these early technologies could become dominant, so stay tuned."

Underwriters, producers and vendors who are interested in the direct marketing of life insurance are invited to attend.

Eftekhari continued, "Given the complexities and regulatory nature of our business, it takes a lot of bandwidth and backbone for firms to innovate successfully.  To identify six deserving finalists, we asked the hard questions:  Can it be used to improve the buying process?  Can it be reasonably implemented?  Is it cost effective?  Will the technology/process be supported?  Does it improve the customer experience?"

Attendance at the LIDMA Fall Meeting & Showcase is available only to LIDMA members.  "This year, we're making it especially attractive for life insurers, banks and financial institutions who are eyeing this space, by offering discounted annual membership fees for first-time producers at the low cost of $495, which includes a 50% discount."  Information on the various membership categories and pricing is available at www.lidma.org.

More and more life insurance buyers are becoming self-directed and using direct response channels as their preferred method of purchasing life insurance.   Recent trends in the direct-to-consumer sector have recently seen accelerated interest from big box stores, electronic retailers, search engine companies, banks, credit unions and other non-traditional companies that command vast audiences.  LIDMA is the primary organization dedicated to supporting business and professionals who are active in this new and rapidly expanding channel.
