Next Week Surface Water Quality Professionals Will Storm Seattle for the Largest Conference in the Industry

BELLEVUE, Wash., Aug. 22, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- In less than a week's time StormCon, the world's largest conference and exposition for surface water quality professionals, kicks off in Bellevue, Washington for a week of education and collaboration for the advancement of the stormwater industry and local stormwater programs across the country.

Now in its 16th year, StormCon brings public officials responsible for protecting water supplies together with private sector engineers, consultants, and the full range of surface water quality professionals to delve into the latest innovations in stormwater management and pollution prevention.

Doors open early at the Meydenbauer Convention Center August 27th and 28th to offer a variety of pre-conference certification courses and training seminars for those interested in earning additional CEU and PDH credits and further enhancing their resume and professional development.

The exhibit hall opening reception sponsored by Suntree Technologies kicks off on August 28th at the Meydenbauer, followed by the opening general session on August 29th at the Hyatt Regency Ballroom. The keynote address sponsored by AbTech Industries will provide an important window into the industry and beyond, offering surface water quality professionals from around the country an opportunity to pose questions and participate in the national stormwater conversation.

Conference courses continue on August 29th and 30th, covering everything from developing SWPPPs, to the fundamentals of MS4 management and industrial stormwater planning, to water modeling techniques and NPDES compliance.

Stormwater bus tours are available on August 31st exploring first-hand the City of Tacoma and Port of Tacoma's innovative efforts to balance sustainable industrial activity and retrofit the urban environment with responsible waterway stewardship. A panel discussion on stormwater infrastructure policies will also be available on the 31st.

Beyond the educational and networking opportunities, StormCon's flexible schedule allows for sufficient time to explore the Puget Sound and other destinations in the City of Bellevue, just 10 minutes from Seattle.
