Tranzon auction pros win big at NAA Conference & Show
Victories won and legacies honored at national auctioneers' convention

COLUMBUS, Ohio, July 26, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Members of real estate auction company Tranzon received two of the highest honors attainable in the auction profession at the National Auctioneers Association's (NAA) annual Conference & Show this month.

Tim Mast of Tranzon Asset Advisors in Selmer, TN was elected NAA Vice President. This is the highest elected office in the association, as it is the NAA's custom for its vice president to take up the office of president the following term. Mast, an 18-year auction veteran, served on the NAA Board of Directors. He also served as president and as a director for the Tennessee Auctioneers Association (TAA), and in 2013, was the youngest inductee to the TAA Hall of Fame.

"I'm humbled by the confidence that has been placed in me by the auction community," says Mast, "and I'm grateful for this opportunity. I've been overwhelmed by the support and friendship of so many outstanding individuals."

Thomas Saturley of Tranzon Auction Properties in Portland, ME was recognized for a lifetime of service to the auction industry and his community by being inducted into the NAA Hall of Fame. Saturley served on the NAA Board of Directors from 2002 to 2005 and as a presidential appointee in 2011 and 2012 before being elected vice president in 2013. He served as president the following year and, most recently, board chairman.

"There is no greater reward then to be honored by one's peers," Saturley says of the recognition. "The men and women who have been inducted into the NAA Hall of Fame are legends within the auction profession, and I am humbled to be included within that storied class."

Saturley was inducted by friend and fellow Hall-of-Famer, Sandy Alderfer of Tranzon Alderfer, who was himself honored with the Sapphire Pin for his contributions to the National Auctioneers Foundation.

Tranzon was a pioneer of real estate accelerated marketing and early adopter of online auctions, but Saturley says these recent honors highlight the company's greatest asset.

"Technologies and methodologies continually change, and business changes with them. But I am gratified to see Tranzon receive acknowledgement for the integrity and reputation of its people, because that is where our true strength lies."

Saturley's induction and Mast's victory came only a week after the Tranzon community was grieved by the death of its CEO, Scott King. "These honors were timely in a way, and sad in another," says Saturley. "Scott would've loved to share these moments with us, and we all wanted him to be there. But one of his aims was to make this company's strengths more visible, so this recognition also seems like a fitting tip of the hat to his vision and heart for Tranzon."

Tranzon is a nationwide real estate auction company built by a collaborative team of experienced auctioneers with a common mission to help each of their clients sell their real estate on their own terms.
