Core Security to Host Capture the Flag Competition at Black Hat

LAS VEGAS, June 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Core Security today announced it will host an inaugural Capture the Flag (CTF) cyber security competition at the Black Hat conference being held in Las Vegas in July. The Core Security CTF encourages cyber security industry professionals to enhance their practical skills in a real-life environment.

"Core Security is constantly striving to support security professionals in their ever-growing challenge against today's most complex threats spreading across their environments," said Chris Sullivan, CISO and CTO for Core Security. "To further our mission of helping organizations manage security risks across the enterprise, we believe it is important to encourage engineers to apply their knowledge in real-world situations, similar to challenges they may face in some of today's most complex environments."

Core Security's Capture the Flag is designed around a rich, fictional, yet realistic, healthcare organization: Mercy Tech Healthcare.
