The Opening Celebration at Meetings Quest to Provide Attendees With a Genuine Atlantic City Experience
The evening event will include dinner and live music on the beach and rolling-chair tours of the iconic Boardwalk

LOS ANGELES, June 1, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Plans have been announced for the Opening Celebration at Meetings Quest in Atlantic City. Hosted by Meet AC, Meetings Quest is the nation's longest-running series of educational and networking events for meeting planners and will be held at the Borgata Hotel, Casino & Spa, June 28–29, in Atlantic City.

The Meetings Quest Opening Celebration on Wednesday, June 28, will take place on the iconic Atlantic City Boardwalk and beach. The evening will kick off at LandShark Bar & Grill, where attendees will have a chance to stick their toes in the sand and enjoy perfect views of the Atlantic Ocean and the world-famous Steel Pier. Meetings Quest attendees will also have the opportunity to enjoy food, beverages and live music. Entertainment will be provided by the Beach Bumz, a tribute band performing the greatest beach hits from Jimmy Buffett to the Beach Boys.

For those attendees wanting to see more of Atlantic City, Meet AC will provide complimentary rolling-chair tours of the Boardwalk. Introduced in the 1880s, the rolling chair was the only vehicle permitted on the Boardwalk at the time. Today, a rolling-chair tour provides a one-of-a-kind-way to experience the Boardwalk.

"In addition to being a great place to conduct business, Atlantic City is also America's original resort destination," said Timothy Schneider, organizer of Meetings Quest. "We believe the Meetings Quest Opening Celebration will provide attendees with an experience that is genuine and unique to Atlantic City."

Meetings Quest in Atlantic City will also include an educational program on Thursday, June 29. In the first session on contract negotiations, Jonathan Howe—founding partner of Howe & Hutton and general counsel for Meeting Professionals International—will discuss the key elements that need to be considered when negotiating hotel and venue contracts. In addition, a session on crisis management and event security will feature Steven Hacker, the former president of the International Association of Exhibitions & Events.
