More than 30 CIOs and senior IT executive members from Fortune 500 and multinational companies will meet with Harvard Business School professors and other leading researchers for two days of networking, collaboration, and thought leadership; spaces are still available!

MOUNT LAUREL, N.J., May 3, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Advanced Practices Council (APC), an exclusive CIO program of SIM, a global IT association with over 5,000 members, announced its next meeting to be held on June 13th and 14th in Cambridge, Massachusetts, in collaboration with professors from the Harvard Business School and other world-renowned institutions, and top executives from Mass Tech Leadership Council, Essent, GE, and more.

"There is no other senior IT executive program like the Advanced Practices Council," stated Madeline Weiss, Director. "The APC is limited to 40 CIOs and other senior IT executives each year, and members love the 'no selling' environment, Vegas-rules style conversations, and the member-selected research agenda. This upcoming event will be extremely insightful for APC members and the outcomes will help APC members and other CIOs increase their impact on their organizations."

The Cambridge, Massachusetts event will feature leading-edge developments in artificial intelligence (AI); governance of predictive analytics; highlighting the analytics of things; IT megatrends transforming industries; digital ubiquity; lean manufacturing; crowd-powered innovation; and, emerging trends in the general Boston scientific, technology, and research community.

In addition to topics selected by members, executives from the Cambridge Innovation Center, Massachusetts Technology Leadership Council, GE, and other companies and organizations will lead panels. Members will also meet with CEOs and senior executives of innovative companies from across the Boston region.

"I have been a member of the APC for many years," said Steve Pickett, a former CIO of Penske Corporation. "There is just no program like the APC that brings CIOs and the world's foremost IT and innovation thinkers together in one place. Many of us come from like-size companies like Pfizer, Constellation Brands, Allstate and True Value, as well as large organizations like NASA, FEMA, and the IMF. It is a place for confidential sharing. We face similar issues, bond, and work on solutions together."

To ensure quality collaboration in an intimate setting, the Advanced Practices Council limits membership and attendance at all events to a maximum of 40 senior IT executives. Currently, several spaces remain for membership in the 2017-2018 APC program, and a few seats are available for this Cambridge, Mass. event on June 13th and 14th. "We will give priority to CIOs from the Boston area," added Weiss.
