Therap Announces Sponsorship of the Developmental Disabilities Nursing Association Conference
Developmental Disabilities and LTSS software is signature sponsor of 2017 DDNA Conference

WATERBURY, Conn., Feb. 22, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Therap Services, the leading software in the field of intellectual disabilities and LTSS, announced its Signature Level sponsorship of the DDNA 2017 Conference in Dallas, Texas from  April 7 – 10, 2017.

Therap's certified electronic health record software is used widely by nurses working at agencies that support individuals with I/DD. The LTSS software features a full suite of applications including medication administration records, tracking vital signs and blood glucose.

A wide array of tools are available in the Therap system to assist nurses with their daily documentation needs. At the Developmental Disabilities Nursing Association conference, attendees can see how Therap's software records daily nursing notes and documents administered medications. Nurses can view active diagnoses of individuals and contact information of healthcare professionals. The MAR module is integrated with industry standard drug database First Databank (FDB). A MAR mobile application is also available for quick entry of records in community settings and other LTSS locations.

Therap has released a pharmacy interface that allows for direct information exchange between provider agencies and pharmacies that they work with to receive the updated medication information of individuals. With the pharmacy interface module, Therap users can link individuals in the pharmacy system to individuals on Therap to receive pharmacy messages. Once linked, agencies will be able to see information including when new medications sent from the doctor's, changes to doctor's orders and hold placements. Pharmacy messages can then be used to update an individual's medication schedule and translates on to Medication administration records.

Additionally, the Medication History tool allows RNs and LPNs to keep record of medications. Therap's Medication History includes detailed information on side effects, drug-allergy reactions and drug-drug interactions. With the medication history tool, nurses have the necessary information to avoid or minimize medication errors.

The LTSS software's health tracking module helps to track and analyze different types of health data including vital signs, Height/weight, immunizations, infections, intake/elimination, seizures and menses. Nurses can schedule appointments and lab tests for an individual on Therap. Useful nursing reports include health care reports that display information pertaining to allergies, dietary guidelines and medical diagnoses.
