True Health Chief Academic Officer and Cardiovascular Disease Expert to Lecture Before Miami Beach Symposium

FRISCO, Texas, Feb. 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- True Health Diagnostics today announced that Chief Academic Officer Dr. Thomas Dayspring will lead three discussions on Feb. 16 at the Cardiovascular Disease Comprehensive Annual Symposium, and participate in another two panel discussions. The conference will be held in Miami Beach and is sponsored by Baptist Health South Florida Continuing Medical Education.

Dayspring, a fellow of both the American College of Physicians and the National Lipid Association, is certified in internal medicine, clinical lipidology, and by the North American Menopause Society for menopausal medicine. He will lead discussions on reducing residual cardiovascular risk and "smoldering" insulin resistance and participate in panel discussions on these subjects.

"The effectiveness of a physician's treatment of a patient who may be prone to cardiovascular disease improves when we can detect the warning signs months or even years earlier," said Dayspring. "Finding those indicators earlier and empowering people to take action is central to what True Health works toward every day."

Because developing more than one chronic disease is common, True Health offers a spectrum of innovative diagnostic testing that enables early-stage risk assessments for diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis and autoimmune diseases, genetic diseases, various cancers and other conditions.

Since assuming his role as Chief Academic Officer in September 2015, Dayspring has helped True Health's effort to expand the availability of testing services for non-traditional lipids, lipoproteins, markers of inflammation, genetic variants and more, with the goal of earlier disease detection and targeted treatment.

As the author of textbook chapters and peer-reviewed articles related to lipids, lipoproteins, and lipid-modulating medications, Dayspring has given more than 4,000 lectures throughout his career.

"True Health is focused on identifying all kinds of chronic diseases earlier, however, cardiovascular disease is the number one killer in the United States," said True Health CEO Chris Grottenthaler. "We are privileged to have Dr. Dayspring as our lead champion for educating populations on the threats of cardiovascular disease."
