BOCA RATON, Fla. and ORLANDO, Fla., Feb. 2, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- VetDriven, Inc., today announced that it has licensed exclusive rights from Vestagen Protective Technologies, Inc. to manufacture and distribute VESTEX® products for the veterinary and consumer pet markets in the U.S. VetDriven also reported the successful completion of a seed financing from private investors and announced the launch of its VESTEX Active Barrier healthcare worker uniforms for veterinarians and other veterinary professionals. VetDriven representatives will be available to discuss the company's VESTEX products at Booth #1232 at the North American Veterinary Conference (NAVC) 2017 in Orlando, February 4-8, 2017.

VESTEX combines three distinct technologies to produce an active barrier fabric intended to minimize the risks associated with unanticipated exposure to body fluids during routine use by repelling fluid splatter and spills from the fabric.1 VESTEX fabric is breathable for comfortable, all-day wear. It contains an EPA-registered antimicrobial agent shown in controlled conditions in laboratory and hospital settings to inhibit the growth of the tested bacteria on the fabric.2,3,4 A peer reviewed study published in a leading medical journal showed reduced acquisition and retention of certain microorganisms on VESTEX scrubs compared to conventional healthcare uniforms. VESTEX fabric is incorporated in a line of healthcare uniforms and scrubs that are attractive, durable and priced competitively with other quality uniforms.

"VetDriven was established to provide veterinarians and pet owners with innovative products offering unique benefits, and we are thrilled that Vestagen has chosen us as the exclusive distributor of VESTEX products to the veterinary and consumer pet communities," said Joshua Sokolow, President of VetDriven. "We are proud that our debut offering for Veterinarians--VESTEX Active Barrier uniforms and scrubs--are being adopted by major U.S. human healthcare systems. We will soon be launching other innovative pet and veterinary products utilizing Vestagen's revolutionary VESTEX fabric."

Mr. Sokolow continued, "Our recent seed financing round was a vote of confidence allowing us to launch the VetDriven brand and our VESTEX scrubs at NAVC 2017, the world's most important Veterinary industry conference. We look forward to meeting with prospective customers, distributors and partners interested in learning more about collaborative opportunities with our VESTEX products."

VESTEX has earned an exclusive endorsement from the American Hospital Association following a rigorous due diligence process. VESTEX is registered with the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) as a medical device and is currently in the FDA 510(k) clearance review process.

Uncas "Ben" Favret, President of Vestagen, commented, "Partnering with dynamic segment leaders and emerging leaders such as VetDriven is a core strategy for Vestagen. The veterinary and consumer pet markets represent large and growing sectors and are a natural fit for VESTEX Active Barrier products. We look forward to a long and productive relationship with VetDriven as they continue to expand their VESTEX product line."
