Varex Imaging To Showcase A Range Of Advanced X-Ray Tubes And Digital Image Detectors For High Quality Filmless Imaging At The 2017 Arab Health Congress And Exhibition

SALT LAKE CITY and DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, Jan. 31, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Varex Imaging Booth #S1.D54 -- Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre, January 30Feb 02, 2017 -- Varex Imaging Corporation (Nasdaq: VREX), a leading innovator, designer and manufacturer of X-ray imaging components, today announced the company is highlighting its family of advanced X-ray tubes and flat panel detectors at the 2017 Arab Health Congress and Exhibition January 30 – February 02.  This is Varex Imaging's first trade show as a new independent public company after completing its separation from Varian Medical Systems, Inc.

The Varex Imaging booth will feature:

  • Flat panel detectors – X Technology – Varex Imaging's proprietary, state-of-the-art 6th generation architecture, featuring increased frame rates, improved low dose imaging, and 16-bit data acquisition.  The X platform is optimized for high dose efficiency and very low electronic noise.  The result is significantly improved low dose fluoroscopy imaging.  "All of our dynamic panels are available in the DX configuration, which includes the new X technology and our proven D-type interface.   The D-type interface is based on Gigabit Ethernet, a single dc power input and Varex's Virtual CP software" said Rick Colbeth, Ph.D., Varex Imaging's senior vice president and general manager, X-ray detectors.   "The DX platform enables integrators to easily migrate between any of the dynamic detectors in the panel product line."
  • Replacement X-ray tubes – a broad portfolio of cost effective replacement medical X-ray tubes for most diagnostic imaging modalities including computed tomography (CT), special procedures, radiography & fluoroscopy (R/F), and mammography.
  • Claymount components – a broad range of imaging component accessories, including high voltage connectors, manual and motorized collimators, ionization chambers and solid state automatic exposure control systems for controlling dose during medical X-ray imaging.

"As the industry adopts digital imaging technology, we are able to help our customers with more comprehensive solutions that combine X-ray tubes, flat panel detectors, Claymount connect and control components and image processing software," said Stefano Daniotti, Varex Imaging's director of sales for EMEA. "Our components were developed to work together to improve image quality, increase throughput, and reduce the overall cost per procedure.  We are excited to be a part of this important event and to showcase our full line of imaging components," added Daniotti.
