Panel of Chief Economists to Give 2017 Global Economic Outlook to The Economic Club of Las Vegas at December 15th Event

LAS VEGAS, Dec. 14, 2016 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Economic Club of Las Vegas, a nationally renowned platform for economic discussion and debate, has announced it will host three leading national Chief Economists in Las Vegas on Thursday, December 15th, 2016 at Caesars Palace Hotel and Casino. The "2017 Global Economic Outlook" panel will provide a 2016 real estate, domestic and international economic review with a global outlook to 2017.

The event will take place from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and the cost is $50 per person. Cocktails and light hors d'oeuvres will be served. For more information and to register, visit www.econclublv.org/events.

The distinguished speakers' panel includes three former presidents of the National Association for Business Economics (NABE):

  • Ken Simonson, Chief Economist for the Associated General Contractors of America. Previously, Simonson was senior economic advisor in the U.S. Small Business Administration's Office of Advocacy. Simonson also worked with the President's Commission on Industrial Competitiveness, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Federal Home Loan Bank Board.

  • Lynn Reaser, Ph.d., Chief Economist at Point Loma Nazarene University. Reaser is also the chief economist of the Council of Economic Advisors for California State Controller John Chiang. She previously served as chief economist for the Bank of America Investment Strategies Group.
  • John Silvia, Ph.d., Chief Economist of Wells Fargo, is consistently ranked as one of our country's top economic forecasters, and has served as an advisor to the Federal Reserve Banks of Chicago, Philadelphia and Cleveland. Previously, he was chief economist for the U.S. Senate Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee.
