HOUSTON, Dec. 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- David Fitch, Senior Vice President with MarkWest Energy Partners and Timothy Aydt, General Manager at Marathon Petroleum Corp. and President of its Marathon Pipe Line unit, will deliver a special keynote presentation on how Marcellus and Utica production is remaking the downstream petrochemical and petroleum products businesses at the 8th annual Marcellus-Utica Midstream conference and exhibition. From January 24-26th, midstream's biggest stakeholders will gather in the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Pittsburgh to listen to a premier line-up of speakers from top companies, such as The Williams Cos., Tallgrass Energy Partners, and Panda Patriot Power.

As the Utica's daily production grows to over 8.5 billion cubic feet and more than 120,000 barrels of liquids, many midstream operators are upgrading technologies and systems to stay ahead of demand. Next door, daily output from the world-class Marcellus has swelled to 12 billion cubic feet and nearly 70,000 barrels of liquids. Themed "New Connections," the 2017 Marcellus-Utica Midstream conference and exhibition focuses on innovative strategies of midstream operators and the near-term and long-term needs of producers. This year's conference agenda features three panels focusing on projections for the Marcellus, demand for efficiency in the Utica, and new markets for the Appalachian plays.

"Attention is drastically shifting to the Marcellus and Utica, as producers make large investments in these plays, balance a growing demand, and look for what to do next at the 2017 Marcellus-Utica Midstream conference and exhibition," said Paul Hart, editor-in-chief of Midstream Business. "The brain power and topics of focus have already made the 2017 conference one of the best in the past eight years."

With growing demand in the region and new market potentials, hundreds of executives and exhibitors are joining this year's conference to learn what's working now for midstream operators and upstream producers in the Appalachian basin. The Marcellus-Utica Midstream conference and exhibition has a remarkable list of headlining speakers, including:
