Assima Enables Coca-Cola's Business Transformation with Innovative Training and Performance Support

Coca-Cola shares its accelerated plan to leverage Assima's training and performance support solutions to put learning within two clicks or less for users

ATLANTA, Nov. 8, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Large-scale system transformations are challenging at the best of times. But when you factor in a rollout that involves restructuring, growing existing operations, and establishing new franchise owners to enable strategic expansion and remarkable customer service as part of the initiative, they become substantially more complex. In 2013, Coca-Cola faced this very issue in North America when it needed to replace outdated systems with a common enterprise solution. With an accelerated plan to transition more than 60,000 users to a new operating solution, this initiative required innovative approaches to train and support users rapidly and efficiently.

A collaborative platform for learning and performance support was required to achieve this feat, and Assima was selected in 2013 as the solution provider and consultant to enable the ambitious goals of this initiative. At the 2016 DevLearn Conference & Expo, Nov. 16-18 in Las Vegas, Coca-Cola Refreshments Director of Learning, Development and Deployment Doug Teachey and Assima Client Partner Peter Teruya will share:

  • How Coke leveraged Assima's patented cloning technology to dramatically streamline the development, deployment and maintenance of 1000s of diverse training modules
  • Best practices Coke will employ with Assima's performance support technology to drive cost savings
  • Approaches to sell the right solution internally, including gaining executive sponsorship and building a solid internal business case
  • Methods to improve time to competency by using real-time analytics and reporting through an electronic performance support system (ePSS)

"Coke's journey to launch a common system across North America not only provides efficiency and scale from an IT perspective, but it's also an enabler of our consolidated 'System of the Future,'" noted Teachey.  "After demonstrating a proven ability to execute effectively and at an unprecedented rate, The Coca-Cola Company accelerated the deployment from seven to four years, which was our mission impossible. Assima is instrumental in progressing this mission from a systems-related training standpoint as we near our 2017 target for North American deployment completion."

Coke's case study presentation will take place at 1:15 p.m. on Nov. 16 at DevLearn.
