SAN FRANCISCO, Nov. 7, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- During its 2016 Convention, Rodan + Fields together with its Independent Consultants raised more than $1 million to empower students in need through the Prescription for Change® (PFC) Foundation and nonprofit partner buildOn. More than 45,000 Rodan & Fields, LLC ("Rodan + Fields") Independent Consultants attended Convention 2016 in person or virtually, making it the largest Convention in the Company's history. In keeping with its annual charitable giving tradition, company Chairman Amnon Rodan challenged the R+F community to contribute and promised the company would match their donations up to $500,000, for a total of $1M.

"We are a company with purpose that values giving back, and in a few short days, our community of Independent Consultants truly amazed us by contributing $523,850, surpassing our original goal and match amount of $500,000," said Lynn Emmolo, Chief Brand Officer for Rodan + Fields and PFC board member. "I want to thank everyone for this incredible effort that will help so many young students realize their dreams."

"We were blown away at the generous contributions from Rodan + Fields," said Paul Boye, Chief Program Officer for buildOn. "To raise more than a million dollars in a few days is nothing short of extraordinary. The funds will support our service learning programs in high schools in six challenging U.S. urban areas serving 5,000 students."

With its innovative virtual platform, Rodan + Fields  saw an unprecedented increase in Convention attendees over the previous year, with twice as many in-person attendees traveling to Las Vegas, and more than 32,000 Consultants attending virtually from all over North America.

From the Convention main stage in Las Vegas, the Company also announced its revolutionary new product, ENHANCEMENTS Lash Boost, which dramatically improves the appearance of lashes while protecting them against future damage. The result is fuller-looking, longer-looking, darker-looking lashes. ENHANCEMENTS Lash Boost is now available through Rodan + Fields Consultants to Preferred Customers, priced at $150 for a two-month supply.

"Following a period of tremendous growth, this year's Convention was an incredible experience that exemplifies our innovative and entrepreneurial company spirit," said Heidi Wissmiller, Chief Operating Officer of Rodan + Fields. "The Rodan + Fields community is passionate and purpose-driven to deliver life-changing skincare. As I look back on the electrifying energy of our Independent Consultants, the charitable contributions they made and the unveiling of ENHANCEMENTS Lash Boost and so much more, I am energized about the future."
