TiECon Midwest Offering $1 Billion Investment And Incubation Space To Start-Ups That Can Improve Health Outcomes Worldwide
Innovators Invited To Present Prototypes to Investment Team Supported by Anonymous Investor Oct. 26 and 27 at The Henry in Dearborn

FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., Sept. 27, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Tel Ganesan, president of TiE Detroit, a non-profit entrepreneurial organization, and managing partner of Kyyba Ventures, a technology and healthcare investment firm, has announced that TiECon Midwest is offering a platform of investment opportunities up to $1 Billion for start-ups with ideas that can improve health on a global scale.

The $1 Billion investment is nearly five times larger than the largest venture capital fund in the state of Michigan's history and is open to entrepreneurs globally in health and wellness in the non-pharmaceutical arena.

At Ignite2Disrupt, TiECon Midwest 2016 on Thursday and Friday, Oct. 27 and 28 at The Henry in Dearborn (300 Town Center Dr.), an anonymous investor and innovation team will meet with vetted innovators seeking funding. Additionally, the team will offer product expertise and mentorship. The application to apply is available at www.tieconmidwest.org.

Geared toward finding solutions to health issues worldwide, the opportunity totals $1 Billion, plus incubation space in Michigan and senior mentorship for start-up innovators. Investment amounts could be as low as $50,000 and up to millions, depending on the scope of the project.

"We are in search of new developments in science and technology that will improve health on a global scale," said Ganesan. "We believe total investment of this magnitude for all start-ups, and the providing of physical incubation space in Michigan, can assist innovators with solutions that will benefit humanity worldwide. This will be a trendsetting conference for innovators.

"Respectively, this investment is not geared toward universities or large corporations, but rather innovators who have solutions to impact health throughout the world, with the exception of drugs. I am excited to say, the playground is now open."

TiECon Midwest 2016 brings together TiE members, entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, top industry executives and thought leaders for a two-day conference to exchange ideas, explore new businesses and investments, discuss emerging technologies, share growth strategies and obtain insight from global business leaders, community leaders and worldwide experts.

"The investment is also to welcome excited entrepreneurs to TiECon Midwest to present their ideas in front of one of our Grand Keynote Speakers, who have pledged such a great investment," Ganesan said. "This will be the largest amount pledged anywhere in the world at an entrepreneurial conference and we are making it happen here in Michigan."

All ideas must be pre-registered via www.tieconmidwest.org and applicants must attend the event. For questions, please email sarahm@kyyba.com
