Imanami's GroupID Delivers Significant ROI of 542 Percent, According to New Independent Study
Solution Helps Organizations Improve Active Directory® Group Management Efficiencies While Reducing IT Support Ticket Expenses.

ATLANTA, Sept. 26, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Microsoft Ignite Booth #565 – Imanami announced today that a recently commissioned research study conducted by Forrester Consulting found that Imanami's GroupID group management solution for Active Directory delivers a significant return on investment (ROI) in a very short period for enterprise companies.

Based on comprehensive customer interviews, the study found that a composite organization can expect to realize a three-year, risk-adjusted ROI of 542 percent, with payback of the original implementation cost in as little as 3.7 months. Further, such an organization would be able to increase group management process efficiencies and reduce IT support ticket costs.

"Active Directory group management is the Achilles heel of enterprise IT. Employees move locations, change departments, and start new groups all the time. The management of security and distribution groups is not only a huge burden, but it also leads to huge security risks," said Robert Haaverson, chief executive officer at Imanami. "This study clearly shows how big and how quick the return can be for a company that implements Imanami's GroupID."

The June 2016 study, The Total Economic Impact™ Of Imanami GroupID, concludes that GroupID's automated process of managing distribution lists, purging former employees and contractors, and updating security groups and Active Directory memberships when employees change roles inside the organization helped reduce annual business and IT labor costs by an average of 22,000 hours.  Additionally, by delegating responsibility and accountability for initial distribution list creation and ongoing list management to the functional business units, the organizations reduced help desk tickets by 78,000, annually.

"Imanami's GroupID Automate software allows organizations to create smart distribution lists and security groups by using customizable parameters to ensure that these lists and groups are always up to date and accurate," according to the Forrester Consulting study. "Where Automate is not utilized, Imanami's GroupID Self-Service helps remove the dependency on IT to create, update, and delete distribution lists and security groups by delegating the responsibility to business administrators or managers, saving time and improving accuracy."

Forrester interviewed several Imanami customers with multiple years of experience using GroupID in their Active Directory environments for the study. Prior to GroupID, these customers had implemented a number of disparate point solutions or used time-consuming manual processes to maintain their organization's security groups and distribution lists. These previous approaches not only created process inefficiencies but also resulted in perpetual security group and distribution list inaccuracy, leading to security risks.

With GroupID, customers were able to automate the process of removing or updating security groups and distribution lists when their employees discontinued employment or changed roles within the organization, respectively. In addition, GroupID allowed customers to shift accountability and responsibility for ongoing security group and distribution management away from IT to business administrators within the functional business units. Both of these results help further increase productivity and reduce costs.

Discussing the study's results and providing demonstrations that show how GroupID can help your organization, Imanami will be on-hand at Microsoft's Ignite Expo in Atlanta, Georgia from Monday, September 26, through Thursday, September 29, at Booth #565.  For Expo hours and further event details, please see the Microsoft Ignite web site.
