Former Cybersecurity Advisor to Two Presidents Speaks at Cyber Risk Event Oct. 18, 2016, in Santa Monica

PHILADELPHIA, Sept. 21, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Having served Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, Peter Swire is considered to be one of the leading scholars and practitioners of privacy and cyber law today.

On Oct. 18, 2016, Swire will deliver the keynote address at the NetDiligence® Cyber Risk and Privacy Liability Forum in Santa Monica, Calif., Tom Hagy of HB Litigation Conferences has announced. HB is producing the event, which takes place Oct. 17-19, 2016.

The event is expected to draw as many as 400 insurance and risk professionals, attorneys, and data security and breach response and prevention experts, Hagy said.

The program, led by NetDiligence President Mark Greisiger (www.netdiligence.com), is being chaired by Oliver Brew of Aspen Insurance, Steven Anderson of QBE N.A., David Lewison of AmWINS Brokerage Group, Andrew Obuchowski of RSM, and John Mullen of Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith.

Swire is the Nancy J. and Lawrence P. Huang Professor of Law and Ethics at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He teaches at the Scheller College of Business, with appointments by courtesy with the College of Computing and School of Public Policy. He also is senior counsel with the law firm of Alston & Bird LLP.

Swire served on President Obama's Review Group on Intelligence and Communications Technology, and was Special Assistant to the President for Economic Policy. Under President Clinton, he was the Chief Counselor for Privacy in the Office of Management and Budget.
