"Teach for Tomorrow" Accord Education Summit: Learning from Education Experts and Policy-makers

LAS VEGAS, Sept. 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --Accord Education will welcome over 300 educators and school administrators to the "Teach for Tomorrow" fall summit taking place in Las Vegas, Nevada from Thursday, September 22Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Circus Circus and the newly opened Coral Academy of Science, Centennial Hills campus.

Thursday, September 22
The event begins with a Keynote Dinner from 5:00pm9:00pm at the Circus Circus ballroom (2880 South Las Vegas Boulevard, Las Vegas).  Scheduled speakers include:

  • Moises Denis (Nevada State Senator)
  • Adam Johnson (Clark County School Board Candidate, Nevada State Public Charter School Authority)
  • Dr. Carrie Buck (Nevada State Senate Candidate, Pinecrest Academy)

Friday, September 23
The event continues from 9:00am6:00pm at the Circus Circus ballroom.  TJ Walker, the CEO of Media Training Worldwide, will use his 30 years of experience coaching presidents, prime ministers, and Fortune 500 executives to teach attendees effective public speaking and media skills.  Additionally, Accord Education will guide a team-based challenge highlighting STEAM activities (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) for classrooms.

Saturday, September 24
A full day of workshops will conclude the event from 9:00am5:00pm at the new Coral Academy of Science, Centennial Hills Campus (7951 Deer Springs Way, Las Vegas).  Nineteen workshops, spanning all grade levels, will cover a range of topics including technology, math and ELA comprehension, special education, SAT preparation, critical thinking, and much more.  Administrators will benefit from workshops ranging from school safety plans, social media, education politics, human resources, and more.

Registrations for this event have increased 400% since Accord Education's first summit.  Past attendees described the event as "extremely informative and beneficial," with "specific takeaways to implement" from "amazing speakers" and instructors who proved "very motivating."
