"We are creating a movement dedicated to increasing awareness on happiness as a life choice; WoHaSu is a new forum focused on how to improve GNH (Gross National and Personal Happiness) instead of GNP (Gross National Product)," said Luis Gallardo, social entrepreneur and founder of the World Happiness Summit.  "It is important to understand that happiness is reached through a holistic combination of abstract elements, like mindfulness and virtue, and material elements like work, personal liberties, good governance and social bonds."

WoHaSu is the first event of its kind as the summit unites the different thought leaders and disciplines of the key components of happiness under one roof.  It is an extraordinary occasion and platform to explore best practices, policies, challenges and partnerships around increasing happiness in our communities, cities and around the world.

Miami, crowned "happiest city to work in the United States" by to Forbes magazine, will welcome over 10,000 expected attendees and reach many more via video cast. The summit has the support of the United Nations International Day of Happiness, Bhutan's Gross National Happiness Center, Kellogg Innovation Network, The University of Miami, Greater Good Science Center at Berkley University, Mindfulness Without Borders, Action for Happiness, The Institute for Global Happiness, GoodThink, Wholebeing Institute, Experience Happiness, among others.

The event will also hold one of the biggest yoga activations on the beaches of Miami Beach and Zumba enthusiasts from around the world will participate in a huge dance party. In order to fill the nights with happiness, day events will close with concert performances by leading international music artists.
