Manufacturer's latest height adjustable desk accommodates shorter heights to fit the needs of younger students

ST. PAUL, Minn., June 27, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Ergotron, a Nortek company (Nasdaq: NTK) and a leader in the connected classroom, is continuing its mission of transforming classrooms into active learning environments with the addition of customer Lake Travis Independent School District, as well as the introduction of its latest version of the LearnFit® Sit-Stand Desk. "Over the years, students have become increasingly sedentary – even young grade school students are seated for almost six hours a day – and research continues to indicate that movement is integral to the development of the mind," explained Bob Hill, Ergotron education manager. "These new LearnFit desks provide the size and height adjustment needed for students of a smaller stature, ensuring kids are exposed to tools that encourage healthy behavior and improve learning."

The LearnFit Sit-Stand Desk has a minimum height of 29" (74 cm) and a maximum height of 45" (114 cm). The desks will be on display at ISTE 2016 in booth #1515, from June 26-29 in Denver, and will be available in June, US MSRP $549, through Ergotron's global distribution channels.

Ergotron continues to see innovation in the way schools are using its award-winning LearnFit® Adjustable Standing Desks. Lake Travis ISD 7th and 8th grade students are using the desks in their Gateway to Technology Engineering classroom. They shot a film using LearnFit desks for their tracking shots, and featured student opinions on the benefits of student mobility vs. static seating arrangements in the classroom.
