Best-Selling Leadership Author and Branding Expert Dorie Clark to Deliver Keynote at Tagoras' Annual Leading Learning Symposium

CARRBORO, N.C., June 24, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Tagoras, Inc. has announced best-selling leadership author and strategist Dorie Clark as the keynote speaker for its second annual Leading Learning Symposium (http://symposium.leadinglearning.com). Clark will address leaders in the business of lifelong learning from across the country at the event to be held October 24 and 25 at the Royal Sonesta Harbor Court Hotel in Baltimore, MD.

Clark is the author of Reinventing You and Stand Out, which was named the #1 Leadership Book of 2015 by Inc.magazine. She is also a former presidential campaign spokeswoman and has been described by the New York Times as an "expert at self-reinvention and helping others make changes in their lives."

"Dorie Clark is at the forefront in helping individuals and organizations develop ideas that truly set them apart from the crowd," says Celisa Steele, co-founder of Tagoras. "In the rapidly-evolving and increasingly competitive market for lifelong learning the kind of innovative thinking she inspires is more critical than ever."

An adjunct Professor of Business Administration at Duke University's Fuqua School of Business, Clark consults and speaks for a diverse range of well-known global brands, including Google, the World Bank, and Microsoft. She is known for helping others learn how to become recognized for the leaders they are in order to gain momentum for their business and make a greater impact.

"The overarching themes for the Leading Learning Symposium are reach, revenue, and impact," explains Jeff Cobb, co-founder of Tagoras. "Together they represent the balance successful organizations strive for in setting the strategy for their education businesses. Dorie really understands these themes, and she is outstanding at helping leaders translate them into action."

Designed specifically for senior leaders with strategic and/or financial responsibility for the success of their organization's education business, the Leading Learning Symposium will offer structured, high-impact opportunities for participants to connect with and learn from each other. Cobb and Steele emphasize that the annual event is meant to serve as one point in an overall process and ongoing community of learning. Past symposium participants have had the opportunity for continued interaction and the sharing of resources through an active online community.

Steele adds, "The true value lies in helping attendees engage with each other to innovate and solve problems, not only at the actual event but throughout the entire year. Dorie is highly skilled in helping people understand the importance of community and how to leverage relationships, concepts that are fundamental to our overall vision for the symposium."

YM Learning, formerly Digital Ignite, will again be the executive sponsor of the symposium. YM Learning partners with associations, credential providers, and for-profit education providers to help them deliver engaging learning experiences to their constituents and customers. Higher Logic, a provider of private online community software, will also return this year as a general sponsor of the event.
