The program will center on overcoming regional challenges to deliver on the Northeast US and Canada's planned petrochemical mega projects.

On Monday, June 27, Paul Dainora, Director of Business Development - Petrochemical Plants at Linde Engineering in Munich, Germany, will moderate the session "Addressing the Shortage in Skilled Craft Labor."  The discussion will focus on strategies for scheduling and sourcing a skilled workforce to support planned petrochemical facility construction. Plant owners and contractors will also share their experience in working effectively with the construction workforce to improve retention and develop clear plans to deliver projects on time. "Understanding the regional petrochemical market, forecasts of labor needs and sourcing, retention and scheduling methods are essential to timely delivery and providing the best service to our customers," said Dainora.

"This is a great opportunity to learn from each other and share best construction practices to deliver world-class plants," said Jerry Price, Director of Construction for Linde Engineering North America (LENA). Price will serve as a panellist for "Strategies for Successful Project Execution on Northeast Projects." Attendees will hear from major owners/operators, engineering, procurement and construction companies and consulting firms on the need to work together on major projects to help limit costs and ensure successful project execution and continued industry growth. Insight into what companies are doing to identify, mitigate and manage project risk, resource needs and contracting strategy in today's market place will be shared.

Price has provided insight for Petrochemical Update's white paper "Construction Strategy: Petrochemical Mega Projects, North east US," to be distributed at the conference. Petrochemical Update, a division of FCBI-Energy, is the conference organizer.
