C4 Imaging receives top honors at the 5th annual Texas Life Science Forum

HOUSTON, June 6, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- C4 Imaging LLC announced that it has been recognized as one of the Rice Alliance 10 Most Promising Life Science Companies at the 2016 Texas Life Science Forum hosted by the Rice Alliance for Technology and Entrepreneurship and BioHouston and Texas Healthcare and BioScience Institute at the BioScience Research Collaborative in Houston, May 26. The companies were chosen by industry experts and investors. More than 50 startup companies presented their business plan presentations at the forum. An additional six Nasdaq-listed life science companies provided status updates.

"This award, coming as it does from investors, entrepreneurs and business leaders in the Life Science community is an acknowledgement of the significant progress we've made towards commercialization of our unique C4 technology," said Andrew Bright, President and CEO of C4 Imaging. "It recognizes how we've successfully advanced through product development, regulatory approval to production and revenue generation. We're now poised to achieve approval for our second-generation products; these new products will serve significant patients populations in need of improved medical imaging options."

The event is one of the largest life science venture capital conferences in the Southwest and featured more than 40 industry and investment speakers. Among the 500 attendees were venture capitalists and other investors, entrepreneurs, industry representatives, business leaders and service providers.
