Marketo Announces Social Good Program Designed to Empower Tomorrow's Marketers
Marketo Engaged Program rallies the Marketing Nation® to set aspiring marketers up for success in college and beyond

LAS VEGAS, May 11, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Marketo, Inc. (NASDAQ: MKTO), the leading provider of engagement marketing software and solutions, today announced Marketo Engaged, a program that provides under-resourced students with personalized, ongoing support on their journeys to and through college and into careers. The announcement came at the Marketing Nation Summit, Marketo's annual conference taking place on May 9-12 at the MGM Grand.

Under the umbrella of Marketo Engaged, the company has designed five core programs: 

Marketo Engaged Scholars
Marketo provides support to first-generation college students through their post-secondary education by means of activities such as student grants and academic programs. To kick off the program, Marketo partnered with national non-profit College Track for its first "Students at Summit" initiative, bringing ten students – nearly all of which are the first in their family to receive a post-secondary education – to Las Vegas. The program builds off of the Summit theme of "Tomorrow's Marketer" and gives students the opportunity to learn about the future of marketing from Marketo customers and partners. The 6,000 registered Summit attendees and greater Marketing Nation are not only encouraged to provide these students with advice and support via social channels, but also to connect with Marketo to offer College Track students internship and professional development opportunities.

Marketo Engaged Together
Employees around the world participate in an array of individual, team, and virtual volunteer opportunities on an ongoing basis to support the education pathways of under-resourced students. These activities include one-on-one mentoring and tutoring, a variety of team volunteer events, and Marketo's annual Global Volunteer Month in July. In 2015, Marketo employees donated nearly 1,700 hours of service to tutoring and training under-served students, revitalizing an elementary school, and more.

Marketo Engaged Academy
By leveraging employee talents and creating custom content, Marketo provides skills-building curriculum for students of all ages, covering everything from marketing and coding to resume-building and interview preparation. Offices around the world host workshops and travel to schools and partner organizations to share applicable skills with the next generation of professionals.

Marketo Engaged Interns
Beginning in Summer 2016, Marketo will host under-resourced high school students for unique, career-based learning experiences under the guidance of seasoned professionals. This compliments Marketo's pre-existing internship program for college seniors.
