Mana Health to Demonstrate Unique Virtual Reality Interface for Viewing Patient Data Powered by ManaCloud™ Platform At the 7th Annual Health Datapalooza in Washington, DC

NEW YORK, May 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Mana Health, a technology solutions company that creates data-driven solutions for healthcare, will showcase its virtual reality technology that allows visitors to the Mana Health booth (#29) to experience a new interface and format to view patient data at the 7th Annual Health Datapalooza, May 8th – 11th, Washington, DC. In addition, Mana Health CEO and Co-founder Chris Bradley will participate in a post-conference panel, "Staying in the Lines While Out of Bounds: Best Practices for Building Public Trust in Consumer Tools."

"We look forward to showcasing how unique, high-volume data viewing is possible with Mana Cloud™  and data visualization software in virtual reality," said Bradley. "As medicine continues to move toward a data-driven science, physicians will find this beneficial in extracting actionable insights from large populations to drive personalized decisions for each patient individually."

Physicians, app developers, HIT professionals and population health executives will derive benefits from Mana Health's virtual reality (VR) technology.

"Developers will be able to see some of the possibilities that are unlocked once they start working on top of our platform. By focusing on creating value from the data instead of interoperability and integration, they are able to create products and services even more rapidly. Our VR demo will showcase some of the art of the possible when you combine Virtual Reality the Mana Cloud platform," Bradley said.

The ManaCloud™ platform enables HIT professionals and population health executives to capture data flows from multiple systems to obtain a unified stream of data around their patient population, including patient generated health data. This data can then be fed into other applications, including powerful visualization tools such as virtual reality, through the ManaCloud API. "Half the challenge of providing optimal care is coordination," Bradley added. "There are many moving parts to an individual's care journey, and timeliness, communication and accuracy are essential. This necessitates a unified, multi-modal view of the patient across data sources."

Along with its VR demonstrations, Mana Health will feature its ManaCloud™ Platform at the conference. ManaCloud was developed as a way to integrate the many disparate data sources that surround a patient to capture critical information that can support the shift to value-based care. The platform allows for the input and integration of patients' clinical data from existing EMRs while adding patient-generated data from apps and connected devices such as weight, pain levels, pulse, heart rate, exercise and calories. All of this data is then made available through an extensible API that makes it easy and cost-effective to deliver applications that can accelerate the industry-wide movement toward value-based care.
