reCAP Kids Inspires Earth Day Learning & Fun with Bug Catcher

ERIE, Pa., April 22, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- In the spirit of Earth Day, reCAP Kids introduces the EXPLORE Bug Catcher, the world's first ever glow-in-the-dark magnifying cap for Mason jars.  This innovative twist on a time-honored tradition is the result of reCAP Mason Jars Founder, Karen Rzepecki's own memories catching bugs as a child, as well as how her son, now grown, would catch them when he was a boy.  Upgraded for the new millennium, EXPLORE includes a magnifying lid with breathe holes, a carrying handle, and a plastic Mason jar, though the glow-in-the-dark blue or green cap will fit any standard Mason jar, allowing flexibility to choose a glass jar that has been passed down through the years, or recycle a plastic jar.

EXPLORE available at MasonJars.com

Along with EXPLORE, reCAP worked with local author, Mary Moodey, and illustrator Justin Wisniewski, to create, Goin' Explorin,' a tale of two wide-eyed young explorers who light up the night by catching fireflies in a Mason jar.  Sharing this story and product with others, the creators hope to instill lasting memories and traditions that unite families and friends.

"We want EXPLORE to inspire adventure, curiosity, and discovery while kids of all ages learn, have fun, and step closer to the natural world," remarks Carlo Fuda, Public Relations at Mason Jars Company.  In addition to EXPLORE, Goin' Explorin,' and the Activity eBook, reCAP will also unveil a lap book at the Florida Home School Convention, May 26th to 28th in Orlando.  As a member of 1% For The Planet, reCAP will donate 1% of EXPLORE sales to participating organizations like Environment Erie, who plans to use the product and learning materials as a comprehensive experience for youth-focused educational programs.

In time for butterflies, fireflies, and ladybugs, EXPLORE, and the entire reCAP product offering, is available at MasonJars.comreCAP EXPLORE: Catch me. Watch me. Let me go!
