2016 Velos Annual Meeting: Celebrating 20 years of Collaboration, Innovation, and Success

FREMONT, Calif., April 20, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Velos, Inc. celebrated 20 years of successfully delivering innovative technologies on April 6th and 7th at the 2016 Velos eResearch Annual Meeting in Fremont, California. A large assembly of Velos customers and industry leaders participated in interactive sessions on multi-site clinical trials, financial management, actionable intelligence, best practices, and more. They shared their experiences of simplifying clinical research with Velos products.

Attendees considered the conference a great success. "This was an excellent conference with many opportunities to collaborate with other Velos customers," noted one attendee in the conference survey. "The Velos team did an amazing job putting this together." The meeting highlighted the company's consistent growth and success at delivering cutting-edge software for clinical research management. Last year alone, Velos implemented 47 interfaces, supported over 10,000 active studies, and was ranked by Pharma Tech Outlook as one of the top ten clinical data management solutions.

Creating a buzz among customers, Velos unveiled powerful technological advancements in Velos Beam and Velos Converge. These two new solutions take collaboration to the next level.  Sites and sponsors can now automatically distribute and aggregate study data within a matter of minutes to create efficient multi-site networks.

New and enhanced features in Velos eResearch v10.0 such as improvements in study, financial and data management also wowed the customer base. Based on independent testing performed by a third party who specializes in clinical trials billing, enhancements in calendar management alone are projected to save customers a significant 30% of the time required to set-up studies.

"We're delivering very substantial enhancements to our clinical research user community," said John Mcllwain, CEO of Velos. "With Velos Beam and Velos Converge, researchers and sponsors can now share data across sites, organizations, states, and countries in an efficient, secure, federated model.  The possibilities this creates for our customers and their clinical research partners are extensive."
