Medivo Launches Unique Clinical Diagnostic Solutions to Help Payers Better Manage Risk and Improve Quality at the 2016 RISE Nashville Conference
CareInsights Dx solutions leverage harmonized clinical diagnostic data to provide unique insights for Payers

NEW YORK, March 21, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Medivo, Inc., a leader in clinical diagnostics analytics, today announced the launch of its CareInsights Dx Solutions at the 2016 RISE Nashville Conference. CareInsights Dx solutions are designed to help Payers better manage risk and improve quality.

Medivo is a healthcare analytics company that unlocks the power of clinical diagnostic data to improve health. Medivo is the largest source of lab data in the United States with access to over 150M patients through its nationwide network of partner labs.

The US clinical diagnostic market is highly fragmented, and as a result, so is the underlying lab test data. This fragmentation often renders this valuable information not actionable. Medivo has explored and developed solutions to address these data issues through a "one to many" connection from payers to labs that intakes, refines, standardizes, and enriches clinical diagnostic data, preparing it for the advanced analytics methodologies utilized in Medivo's solutions.

According to Frank Jackson, EVP Payer Markets at Medivo, "By aggregating, harmonizing and analyzing lab data on behalf of our Payer customers, Medivo delivers actionable insights that help Payers better identify and close gaps in care, identify at-risk patients, and improve HEDIS / Star scores." Continued Mr. Jackson, "Improving overall member health while at the same time improving downstream costs and quality measures is what we will ultimately achieve with these solutions. We are excited to put the power of lab and other clinical diagnostics data into the Payer marketplace."

Medivo combines its data harmonization processes, proprietary patient profiles and advanced analytics expertise to identify at risk patient populations. Medivo has identified targeted patient cohorts using lab data for its life science customers and for the medical community at large for over 6 years. As an example, Medivo's data scientists analyzed lab test data to identify hundreds of patients who had been in CML remission but were no longer in remission. "We analyzed their test results over time to find ways to help providers get their patients back to remission by switching therapy," according to Jason Bhan, MD, Chief Medical Officer at Medivo. "Payers would benefit from the same type of analysis, helping them find and support at risk patients and their providers to ensure the best outcomes are achieved."

Today at 3:00 PM ET, Frank Jackson, along with Troy Trygstad, VP, Pharmacy Programs at Community Care of North Carolina will be presenting "THE ADVANTAGE OF LAB DATA IN THE NEW PAYER PARADIGM: DRIVING QUALITY OUTCOMES" in the Data Analytics and Predictive Modeling Track at RISE Nashville. Frank and Troy will be available to answer questions at Medivo booth #6 immediately following this presentation.
