Third Annual VR Mixer Brings Together the VR Community at GDC & VRDC

SAN FRANCISCO, March 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Over 1000 Virtual Reality developers & industry leaders are expected for the third-annual VR Mixer on Monday March 14th from 7PM-11PM in downtown San Francisco. The 2016 VR Mixer is presented by SFVR (San Francisco Virtual Reality) and SVVR (Silicon Valley Virtual Reality), two of the world's largest and longest-running VR communities, along with our 2016 premier sponsor, NextVR, a leader in live and on-demand VR experiences.

VR Mixer began 3 years ago at GDC (Game Developers Conference), and has quickly grown to become the premier VR networking event at GDC, drawing indie VR developers, founders of VR startups, and executives from many of the top companies in the VR industry. With major announcements from VR leaders and the addition of VRDC (Virtual Reality Developers Conference), GDC/VRDC is an increasingly important event in the emerging VR ecosystem.

Now on its third year, the VR Mixer is a community and industry-event that provides networking & demo opportunities for VR startups, developers, and content creators from across the world. The VR Mixer is the largest vendor-neutral VR gathering during GDC and VRDC.

Highlights from this year's VR Mixer include:

  • Sponsors pavilion on the main floor with special demos from NextVR, Perception Neuron, and Virtually Live.
  • Our legendary VR Demo Dungeon featuring over a dozen virtual reality demos from indie-devs and studios.
  • A live performance by TheWave, a VR music performance experience that lets users create music out of motion in a synesthetic virtual venue.

SVVR & SFVR would like to extend thanks to the 2016 VR Mixer sponsors: NextVR, Perception Neuron, and Virtually Live, as well as our media partners Road To VR, UploadVR, VRLA, the ITA (Immersive Technology Alliance), and VR Focus.
