Record Number of U.S. Aerospace and Energy Companies Expected at Dubai Airshow and ADIPEC Oil & Gas Events Nov. 8-12
Concurrent shows create exceptional opportunity for two of America's biggest export industries in the U.A.E.

ABU DHABI, United Arab Emirates, DUBAI, United Arab Emirates, and WALDWICK, N.J., Nov. 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Even for the United Arab Emirates, a nation famous for its local wealth and global ambitions, the concurrence of two major international trade shows within 150km of each other next week will create an exceptionally rich environment for American companies looking to grow their share of the region's aerospace and energy markets.

Organizers of the Dubai Airshow (November 8-12) and Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC, November 9-12), two of the world's most influential industry events, report a record total number of U.S. companies are planning to exhibit at their overlapping events.

Of the combined total 3,100 exhibitors expected — 1,100 at Dubai and 2,000 at ADIPEC — 355-plus of them, more than 11%, are headquartered in the United States. In fact, the U.S. will be the largest international exhibitor in the region next week, and more than 200 of those American enterprises, 56%, will exhibit in U.S. International Pavilions organized by Kallman Worldwide, Inc.

The U.S. Department of Commerce ranks the U.A.E. as the ninth largest market for U.S. aerospace exports, and the seventh for oil and gas equipment. Kallman has been involved with the Dubai Airshow for the past 20 years, and has organized the U.S. International Pavilion at ADIPEC since 2006. The firm coordinates with a number of U.S. government agencies, notably the U.S. Commercial Service in country, to maximize America's presence at each event.

The success of the multi-year cooperative effort is reflected in the record growth of U.S. International Pavilions at each show this year.

  • At the biennial Dubai Airshow, U.S. space managed by Kallman has more than doubled from just over 1,000 sqm in 2013 to 2,200 sqm (gross) in 2015. The national Pavilion will host some 95 exhibitors, including six states — Florida, Georgia, Missouri, Virginia, New Hampshire and Washington — and their 32 state-affiliated exhibitors.
  • At the once biennial, now annual ADIPEC, the U.S. International Pavilion will host 105 exhibitors in a total space of nearly 3,200 sqm (gross) comprised of blocks in Halls 7, 8 and 13, an increase of almost 10% over last year's space. Ten of those exhibitors are new to the regional market; 35 are new to the show.

"Since we began working to help introduce U.S. businesses to buyers in the U.A.E., we've seen the Dubai Airshow and ADIPEC grow into top-tier events for our exhibitors to showcase their equipment, products and services," said Kallman Worldwide President and CEO, Tom Kallman. "Aerospace, oil and gas equipment rank among America's top exports, and our nation's success in this region reflects each event organizers' commitment to excellence, each local community's support and the U.A.E.'s larger national vision to build a global, sustainable hub of innovation, influence and industry for the region."

Ranging from publicly traded stalwarts to privately held innovators, Pavilion exhibitors at both events represent a cross-section of leading American suppliers looking for new export opportunities and to strengthen regional business relationships.

"The U.A.E. is a vital trade partner and export market for the United States," said Marcus Jadotte, Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Industry & Analysis. "The record participation of U.S. companies in the Dubai Airshow and ADIPEC events continues a long and fruitful partnership that began decades ago, and will extend for decades to come as U.S. businesses become part of the fabric of the U.A.E. economy."
