ExteNet Systems to Discuss Role of Distributed Networks and HetNets to Enhance Cellular Connectivity in Venues and Transit Systems
ExteNet Executives to Provide Thought Leadership at the Small Cells Americas Conference

CHICAGO, Nov. 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- ExteNet Systems, the leading independent provider of distributed networks, today announced its participation at the 2015 Small Cells Americas, taking place November 2-4, 2015 in Dallas. Wireless carriers use ExteNet's distributed networks extensively to enhance their service in both outdoor and indoor settings.

"Wireless broadband connectivity has become a basic requirement in every venue today. Staying ahead of rapidly evolving needs and providing practical solutions that are often unique requires constant innovation," said Tormod Larsen, Vice President and CTO, at ExteNet Systems. "The Small Cells Americas event brings together industry leadership and innovators to discuss economic and technical approaches for this highly dynamic landscape. We're proud to contribute to this forum and share our thought leadership."

On November 4 at 1 p.m., Mr. Larsen will participate on the panel "Delivering the connected venue experience with HetNets." The experts will examine how wireless connectivity has become table stakes to delivering the modern fan and user experience and the role played by Heterogeneous Networks (HetNets). Mr. Larsen will share learnings from over 100 marquee indoor HetNets designed, built and managed by ExteNet over the years.

On November 4, at 2:30 p.m., Tim Ayers, ExteNet's Vice President of Global Services, will provide his thought leadership on a panel discussion entitled "Wireless in motion – The connected transit experience." This panel will look at the unique challenges of delivering a modern network infrastructure solution for mass transit – above ground and below. Mr. Ayers will share his experience from the company's work to deliver 3G and 4G LTE connectivity to the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) subway.

"Small Cells are yet another tool in the expanding and evolving HetNet tool box. As more people and industries increasingly rely on wireless connectivity to operate and conduct their life and business, it has become ever-so imperative to utilize the most advanced technology and appropriate deployment approach while designing and deploying HetNets. Small Cells have become mainstream, as part of the broader HetNet strategy, to help address the requirement of wireless broadband connectivity for one and all," said Mr. Ayers.

ExteNet is a recipient of the 2015 Chicago Innovation Award for its Distributed Networks service offerings.
