SANS to Host San Francisco Cyber Security Training Event
Features Immersion Style Training for Security Professionals at Every Level

BETHESDA, Md., Jan. 10, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- SANS Institute, the global leader in cyber security training, today announced its return to California for SANS San Francisco Spring 2019 (#SANSSF) taking place March 11-16. The event features courses to help security professionals advance their careers and develop skills to out-think and out-maneuver cyber adversaries.

"The real value of this training lies at the intersection of quality content and being delivered by a subject-matter expert actively working in the field. It made this material incredibly relevant and immediately applicable to my job," said P. Watson, Microsoft Corp.

SANS San Francisco Spring 2019 features hands-on immersion style training courses covering a variety of topics including cyber defense, ethical hacking, penetration testing, digital forensics, security management, and secure DevOps. Professionals looking to transition to a career in cyber security will benefit from the SANS SEC401: Security Essentials Bootcamp Style course taught by SANS Principal Instructor Jonathan Ham (@jhamcorp). This course provides information security training in a bootcamp-style format that is reinforced with hands-on labs.

Bonus evening talks will round out the agenda. Cyber security expert Kevin Fiscus (@kevinbfiscus) will detail how defenders can turn the tables on the bad guys during his talk, "OODA Security: Taking Back the Advantage". Application security expert Hassan El Hadary (@hassan_hadary) will present several logic attack stories that allow attackers to break developer defenses during his talk, "Hunting Logic Attacks". He will also discuss the future of such attacks and their impact on IoT systems.
