CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® Installs 2019 Leadership Team

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 5, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (C.A.R.) today installed its 2019 Leadership Team. Leading the team is C.A.R. President Jared Martin, a Central Valley real estate broker in Fresno, Calif. Serving with Martin are President-elect Jeanne Radsick, Treasurer Dave Walsh, and Chief Executive Officer Joel Singer. The 2019 officers begin their official term this week at the close of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (NAR) Conference and Expo in Boston.

Martin most recently served as C.A.R. president-elect and previously served as C.A.R. treasurer. A third-generation REALTOR®, Martin has worked with his family's real estate business for the past 16 years. He is one of the owners of a real estate franchise – Keller Williams Westland Realty – in Fresno, Calif.

In addition to serving his clients, Martin also is active with his local, state, and national associations of REALTORS®. He was president of the Fresno Association of REALTORS® in 2009, served on its Executive Committee in 2008-2009 and 2014-2015, and was its treasurer in 2014 and 2015. At the state level, he has served on numerous committees, including Taxation and Government Finance (2014), Distressed Property Task Force (2012), Strategic Planning and Finance (vice-chair in 2013), and Federal (vice-chair in 2014) committees. Also active with NAR, Martin served on NAR's Commercial Leadership Forum, Commercial, Research, and Commercial Economic Issues and Trends committees. Martin has been an NAR Golden "R" member since 2004.

C.A.R. President-elect Jeanne Radsick is a 30-plus-year real estate veteran with Century 21 Jordan-Link & Company in Bakersfield, Calif. She has served at the local, state, and national levels of organized real estate.

Radsick has been a C.A.R. director since 1996, serving on such committees as Membership, Local Government Relations, IMPAC Trustees, MLS Policy, and Federal Issues and served as vice-chair of Land Use & Environmental and Legislative committees. She also served several terms on the Strategic Planning and Finance Committee, including one term as vice-chair.

At the national level, she has served on the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® Board of Directors since 2003. She served on NAR's Land Use and Environmental and Conventional Finance committees and chaired the MLS Policy and Technology and Emerging Issues committees. Radsick also served on a Mergers and Acquisitions Task Force relating to the MLS. She currently serves on the Public Policy Committee.

At the local level, Radsick has been involved in many aspects of the Bakersfield Association of REALTORS®, having served as its president in 2000. She is currently a trustee of the local association's Charitable Foundation, a member of the Local Candidate Recommendation Committee and recently completed an extended term on the Strategic Planning and Finance Committee.

Additionally, Radsick was appointed to the zipLogixTM Board of Directors where she served for several years. She was recognized with the RPAC Hall of Fame award for 2016.

Dave Walsh serves as C.A.R. treasurer. Walsh is the vice president and manager of Alain Pinel REALTORS®' Almaden Valley office in San Jose.

As a former member of the board of directors for both the Silicon Valley Association of REALTORS® (SILVAR) and the Santa Clara County Association of REALTORS® (SCCAOR), Walsh has vast experience in leadership positions. In 2008, he was elected and served as president of SCCAOR, where association membership includes approximately 6,000 REALTORS®. Responsible for supervising 70 real estate sales professionals at the Almaden Valley office of Alain Pinel REALTORS®, Walsh reviews all transactions for professional, regulatory and disclosure compliance.

C.A.R. CEO Joel Singer has held the Association's top staff position since November 1989 after serving as C.A.R.'s chief economist and heading the Association's public affairs department.  He was instrumental in developing Real Estate Business Services Inc. (REBS), C.A.R.'s for-profit subsidiary, and serves as its president. From 2000 to 2018, he also served as president and chief executive officer of zipLogix®, where he was influential in the recent transaction between the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® (NAR) and zipLogixTM to provide zipForm Plus® and zipTMSTM as a free member benefit to all NAR members. He remains on ZipLogix's board of directors.

Singer also sits on the board of CAR's rapidly growing Housing Affordability Fund, a nonprofit that produces, distributes and promotes affordable housing, which has raised $2.3 million since inception.

In 2015, 2016, and 2018, Singer was named to Swanepoel's Power 200 list, which identifies the 200 leaders that have the most power and influence to impact the residential real estate brokerage industry. He was named to the 2015 Inman 101 list of real estate industry doers "whose ingenuity, outspokenness, strength, conviction, power, and persistence are driving change."
