Retail Leaders Gather for Revionics Insight 2018 Global Retail Summit and to Recognize Elevate Retail Award Winners
Hundreds discuss pricing, promotion and markdown innovations and strategies

AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 24, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Revionics' ninth annual retail global summit, Insight 2018, was recently held in Chicago and attracted hundreds of leading retail innovators from around the world. Attendees came to connect and learn from world-renowned retail experts, industry analysts and Revionics' scientists and technologists. Retailers represented a full range of retail sectors including grocery, general merchandise, convenience stores, drugstores and pharmacies, sporting goods, consumer electronics, automotive, discounter, home improvement and hardware, specialty, apparel and ecommerce.

During the event, the attendees joined Revionics in celebrating the winners of the Revionics 2018 Elevate Retail Awards:  Drogaria Araujo, Reitan Convenience and TBC Corp. The award winners were recognized and celebrated as innovative retailers that are changing the face of retail with their advanced use of Revionics' solutions and have delivered significant ROI and performance improvements through Revionics' pricing, promotion and/or markdown optimization.

The winners' singular achievements include:

  • Reitan Convenience, with nearly 500 locations in Norway and revenue of nearly $4 billion in 2017, utilizes Revionics Price Optimization and Store Zone Clustering to implement more localized and competitive pricing, simplify the number of store zones, reduce operating costs and drive increased market share and profitability across all its banners.

Attendees also enjoyed interactive break-out sessions, panel discussions and exciting networking events.

In keeping with activities at past Insights to benefit charitable causes, Revionics debuted a unique new element at Insight this year called Pay It Forward. The project benefits the People's Resource Center, which works to respond to hunger and poverty in the Chicago area's DuPage County. The company organized donations of cash and items including deodorant, hand warmers, hats, gloves, face wash, and more from Revionics retail customers, the Swissotel, and very generous employees.  Attendees and Revionics employees assembled the items into bags for distribution, and far exceeded the goal of 200 bags with an exciting 450+ bags donated.
