SBG To Host English Institute of Sport's Performance Analysis Forum

SOUTHWARK, England, Oct. 2, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- In recognition of the recent advancements in SBG Sports Software's products and platform and contribution to the field of performance analysis, SBG Sports Software has been chosen as the host for this year's EIS Performance Analysis Forum.

The forum takes place on Tuesday 2 and Wednesday 3 October 2018 at SBG's Manchester office.

The EIS is the largest provider of sport science, medicine, technology and engineering services in the country, working with a range of Olympic and Paralympic sports. EIS practitioners deliver a wide range of support services to sports, coaches and athletes.

Julia Wells, Head of Performance Analysis at the EIS commented: "We are just over half way through the Tokyo Olympic / Paralympic cycle and this forum is a great opportunity for the PA team from home country sport institutes to re-connect, share, learn and inspire each other."

Simon Cuff, Commercial Director at SBG added: "We are truly honoured to have been selected by the EIS to host this year's forum. We both share the same passions around athlete improvement, science based analysis and constant innovation in process and technology. With the forum agenda focused on 'performance improvement' we are looking forward to contributing and learning in equal measure." Julia added: "To host this with SBG is perfect as Simon and his team have excellent insight into delivering PA solutions to professional sports and at the Rio Olympic Games."

As the performance analysis industry continuous to evolve, technology, software automation, machine learning and artificial intelligence are playing an ever increasing role in the world of the Performance Analysis. SBG's products are now used across many sports and have applications in
live decision support, post event analysis and pre event planning and
preparations.

Julia commented: "We started to collaborate with SBG earlier this year and were keen to learn from their experiences in dealing with large streams of data and video in motorsport. It is evident to see how advanced and flexible their products are and how quick they are to develop new features and modules. They also understand the challenges and range of environments that are faced by a performance analyst and ensure their products are always plug and play."

This week's forum will also be attended by the Sport Intelligence Team at UK Sport and fellow Performance Analysts from sportscotland institute of sport and Sport Wales.
