ATLANTA, Oct. 25, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today, the Federal Alliance for Safe Homes (FLASH) Partnership presented Thomas E. Woods, CPCU, Assistant Vice President P&C Underwriting, United Services Automobile Association (USAA) with the Board Member of the Year award during the opening event at the National Disaster Resilience Conference.
The award is the highest honor bestowed on a member by the Board of Directors and is presented in recognition of demonstrated outstanding service.

Tom began his career with USAA in San Antonio in 1983 as a Policy Service Representative after graduating from Texas Lutheran University with a degree in Marketing. Over the course of his USAA service, he has worked in both Tampa and Colorado Springs as well as the San Antonio headquarters where he now serves. Tom brings leadership, operations, business development, project/process management, portfolio management, and product management expertise to his role at USAA.
Tom has served on the FLASH Board of Directors since 2015. He serves on the Executive Committee for the BuildStrong Coalition, and is also a member of the Leadership Council for the CPCU Society.
