SAN FRANCISCO, March 31, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- hiQ Labs, the global standard for People Analytics, today announced that the company was invited to participate in the third annual People Analytics Conference hosted by The Wharton School. hiQ Labs will be featured in the conference's invite-only People Analytics Expo, which will take place April 7, 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm. The Expo provides attendees with an opportunity to interact with and hear from curated startups in the People Analytics space. Data scientists from hiQ Labs, whose predictive SaaS-based solutions allow companies to extract more powerful insights from internal and public data, will discuss how to assess employee flight risk.

"The Wharton People Analytics Conference expo consists of start-up companies that are doing really cutting edge work within people analytics," said Aakash Gupta, Conference Chair. "We considered many companies and decided that hiQ Labs was one of the best-in-class companies that we wanted to showcase because of their work leveraging the power of data science to help companies retain their top talent."

The conference will include a research paper competition focused on data-driven approaches to managing people. hiQ Labs' Workforce Scientist in Residence, Michael Housman, PhD, has been named as a finalist for the competition. His paper, produced independently from hiQ Labs and co-authored with Dylan Minor of Harvard Business School, explores spatial management: how to best physically locate workers within an office to impact performance. The finalists will present to a panel of judges during the Expo on April 7, and the winner will be invited to present on the main stage on April 8.

"Wharton has created a remarkable event for the growing People Analytics community to share best practices and discuss innovative solutions to address pervasive and urgent human capital challenges," said Darren Kaplan, CEO and co-founder of hiQ Labs. "We are honored to be invited to participate and thrilled to have one of our own data scientists among the finalists for the research paper competition."
