AUSTIN, Texas, March 1, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Global cybersecurity leader Forcepoint makes its debut appearance at the RSA Conference 2016, the first large security exhibition since unveiling the new company name, Forcepoint™ in January. Conference attendees are invited to visit the company at booth 3535 in the North Expo Hall of the Moscone Convention Center in San Francisco.

"Exhibiting at RSA as one unified company is a major milestone for Forcepoint," said John McCormack, Forcepoint's Chief Executive Officer. "At RSA Conference 2015 last April, we announced the intent to bring together Websense and Raytheon Cyber Products in a joint venture, and began the tremendous effort to unite two leaders under a new brand. We've since added some incredible talent and an amazing product with the acquisition of Stonesoft in January."

"Forcepoint was created to empower organizations to drive their business forward by safely embracing transformative technologies – cloud, mobility, Internet of Things (IoT), and others – through a unified, cloud-centric platform that safeguards users, networks and data while eliminating the inefficiencies involved in managing a collection of point security products.  We are proud of the work we've done, and look forward to meeting with our current and future customers and partners in this exciting venue and share our vision for the future of security."

Security professionals visiting Forcepoint's booth can meet with company executives, field engineers and security researchers. Researchers from Forcepoint Security Labs will give presentations on the threat landscape, including the discovery and mitigation of the "Locky" ransomware threat, which encrypts user data and demands payment in exchange for decryption. Presentations will also include a demonstration of how Forcepoint uses machine learning to identify dangerous insider behavior, both accidental and malicious. The booth will feature demonstration pods highlighting the key elements of the Forcepoint TRITON 4D security platform: Content Security, Insider Threat Data Protection, Security for Cloud, and Network Security.

On Wednesday, March 2, Forcepoint CISO David Barton and Forcepoint CTO Joshua Douglas will discuss the topic "Assessing Risk: CSOs and Cyber Insurance" in Moscone North Hall, conference Room 133 at 11:30 am. This presentation will address one of the most important challenges facing enterprises and industries: how to weigh the pros and cons of insuring against the potential fallout of a cyber-disaster.

Forcepoint, built on the successful integration of Websense®, Raytheon Cyber Products and the recently-acquired Stonesoft next-generation firewall (NGFW) business, brings a fresh approach to address the constantly evolving cybersecurity challenges and regulatory requirements facing businesses and government agencies. The Forcepoint platform will protect against threats from insiders and outsiders, rapidly detect breaches, minimize "dwell time" – the period between compromise and remediation – and stop data theft.
