The session, titled "Scale Up. Scale out. Scale in? Cracking the Internet of Things puzzle" will take place Wednesday, February 24 at 2:30 p.m. PST

McCrory will also speak as a member of the IoT Expert Panel: "What Will the IoT Look Like in Ten Years?" on Tuesday, February 23 at 12:00 p.m. at the Internet of Things Engagement Center, Mandalay Bay Solution EXPO. The panel aims to dissect the Internet of Things' movement from future consideration to business reality and how IoT will look in 2026.

A successful innovator and entrepreneur, McCrory holds nine technology patents as co-inventor, in virtualization, cloud, and systems management. His talk will discuss how unprecedented data volumes will require new technologies to manage the ingestion, collection, and analysis of IoT data. IBM and Basho have been working together to explore challenges presented by this massive amount of data and developing solutions utilizing edge based solutions that will enable organizations to realize the full potential and value of their data. Attendees will learn about how IBM DeveloperWorks Open, Basho Technologies, and IBM Cloud are working on a simplified way for IoT applications to collect, analyze, and report distributed IoT data sets.
