NEW YORK, Feb. 16, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Dimension Data, the $7.5 billion global ICT solutions and services provider, today announced the company's Leadership Development Program has been recognized with a Leadership Excellence award. Presented this month at the LEAD2016 event held at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville, the Dimension Data Leadership Development Program (LDP) won in the "Best Use of Classroom and Traditional Training" category.

For more than 33 years, Leadership Excellence, now a part of HR.com, has identified and recognized the top leadership organizations and their strategies and solutions. The Leadership Awards salute the world's top leadership practitioners and programs and highlight their roles in developing their most important asset – their people.

Encouraging diversity, it spans a range of areas, from change and conflict management and situational, strategic and adaptive leadership to developing listening leadership and solving business challenges in virtual teams. The program is constantly evolving to address the changing demands of employees and clients, and it leverages Dimension Data's Virtual Classroom to provide ongoing development opportunities while reducing travel costs. Graduates participate in Dimension Data's mentoring program, helping to identify workforce gaps and develop emerging talent.
