FISBA will attend Biophysical Society Annual Meeting & Exhibition
FISBA will be demonstrating its expertise in the field of micro systems at Biophysical Society Annual Meeting & Exhibition in Baltimore, Maryland, United States

ST.GALLEN, Switzerland, Feb. 20, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- FISBA, a global leader and independent provider of micro photonics will be exhibiting at Biophysical Society Annual Meeting & Exhibition, booth 330, from March 3-5, 2019. FISBA develops and produces solutions for applications in the Life Sciences, Production Technology and Aerospace & Defense sectors.

The FISBA microlens diameters range from 0.3 mm to 50 mm. The microlenses are lightweight, compact and extremely small. We supply built-to-print, built-to-spec and in-house coating services as well as fully automated assembly lines for scalable production.

Our precision molded glass optics enable some of the most demanding applications in the Life Sciences, Aerospace & Defense as well as Production Technology sectors. We offer all-round services from the first feasibility assessment and design through to series production and assembly.

At booth 330 visitors will be able to meet our optic specialists and learn about FISBA solutions. Our micro-optics are used in applications such as endoscopy, medical imaging, flow cytometry, spectroscopy, remote sensing and integrated imaging systems.

FISBA supplies microlenses with diameters ranging from 0.3 mm. These can be coated by us according to customer specifications in line with the application requirements. Our experts develop and produce ready-to-install microlenses from a diameter of 0.7 mm and micro-aspheres from a diameter of 1.8 mm. At Biophysical Society Annual Meeting & Exhibition visitors will be able to view some of our products like the FISBA RGBeam™.

Fluorescense excitation is a standard method for the study of changes in the molecular level. It is now an emerging technique for molecular fingerprints and spectral kinetics. Instruments such as fluorescence, absorbance and scanning spectrometers use optics and optical micro systems to enable them to provide the outcomes necessary for the biophysics researcher to progress their topic.

Biophysics compromises many disciplines form Computational analysis and modeling, Neuroscience, Bioengineering, Nanotechnologies, Biomaterials, Imaging to environmental research.

FISBAs role in this broad space is to enable the tools and solutions brought forward by the community with optics and optical micro systems in the imaging and illumination areas and needs. These solutions enable microscopy (TILT, Confocal, Light Sheet, Superresolution, etc) and other imaging and illumination needs to drive the visualization of these investigations.
