Tory Burch Introduces Limited Edition Vote T-Shirt
--100% of Net Proceeds Benefit Yara Shahidi's Eighteen x 18

NEW YORK, Sept. 12, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- To encourage political participation and support turnout in the upcoming midterm elections, Tory Burch LLC has created a limited edition Vote T-Shirt with 100% of the net proceeds to benefit actor and activist Yara Shahidi's Eighteen x 18 and its upcoming Summit to educate and engage the next generation of voters. In advance of the 2016 elections, she wrote an Op-Ed for The Wall Street Journal in support of initiatives to make voting more accessible and detailed her decision to give Tory Burch employees time off to go to the polls. She also encouraged other CEOs to do the same to help foster a culture in which the importance of voting is recognized and celebrated.

Voter turnout in the U.S. is consistently low. In the 2016 general election, 58% of Americans voted and only 40% voted in the 2014 midterms. The issue is particularly pressing among Millennials, who are the largest group of eligible voters, yet, in the 2014 midterms, fewer than a quarter of them made it to the polls.
