MS SEDCO'S NexGen Door Activator Switches Go Wireless
The next generation of wireless capacitive touch and touchless door actuators is here

INDIANAPOLIS, July 6, 2018 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- MS SEDCO opens the door to the next generation of door activator switches as they introduce wireless versions of their NexGen Series of infrared touchless and capacitive touch door activators, the NGS-IR-A, NGS-CT-HSS and NGS-CT-P.

The NGS-IR-A features the latest advances in infrared sensing technology and is designed exclusively for indoor use. The response/reaction time is adjustable from zero to 1.5 seconds and the range is adjustable from three to seven inches. It's a one-piece door actuator with absolutely no moving pieces, which means no parts to replace or repair, and the five-year battery life makes it lower maintenance than any other door activator on the market. The attractive, low-profile, black acrylic 4" faceplate is bordered by a clear bezel edge that illuminates green upon activation. It's both functional and stylish-- the sleek design will blend readily into any decor. The hands-free operation of the NGS-IR-A makes it ideal for ADA applications, as well as clean-room access points, request-to-exit devices and point-of-purchase displays.

The wireless capacitive touch activators, the NGS-CT-HSS and the NGS-CT-P, also feature a five-year battery life and the same low-profile design in a brushed stainless-steel finish. They are designed for both indoor and outdoor use and are great options for the above applications as well as building and vestibule entry and exit. Custom plates are available by contacting MS SEDCO directly.

"These door activators really are the next generation," said Brian Christopher, MS SEDCO's director of sales and technical services.  "They have no moving parts. Think about the wear and tear that these types of activators take over the years. You won't ever have to worry about parts breaking down and needing replaced. That, combined with the five-year battery life, means that you can basically install them and walk away. And if you have wired activator that needs repaired, you'll most likely be able to put a brand new NexGen wireless in for around the same price it would cost to repair your old one."

The NexGen wireless door activators are controlled by MS SEDCO's state-of-the-art S-COR coordinator which allows for superior operation in a smaller unit. Their ClearPath Spectrum transceiver paired with the S-COR coordinator creates powerful 2.4 GHz digital two-way communication, resulting in seamless door activation. The S-COR microprocessor also features an LCD screen for quick and easy programming.

The NexGen series of wireless door activator switches meet the standards of both the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association (BHMA). They work in temperatures ranging from -13°F (-25°C) to 140°F (60°C).

The NexGen series of wireless door activator switches are available throughout the U.S. and internationally at mssedco.com and they are covered by a one-year manufacturer's warranty that covers defects in materials and workmanship.
