Top Leaders Across Industries Convened at 4th Annual KPMG Women's Leadership Summit to Advance Inclusion and Diversity

NEW YORK, June 27, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The 66th U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, KPMG U.S. Chairman and CEO Lynne Doughtie, retired 4-star U.S. Navy Admiral Michelle Howard and others today shared their career experiences as leaders at this year's KPMG Women's Leadership Summit. The KPMG Women's Leadership Summit aims to move the needle and forge paths for the next generation of women leaders to move into the C-suite through high-impact leadership development content, networking, and access to today's top leaders.

In its fourth year, the KPMG Women's Leadership Summit convened highly accomplished leaders in the worlds of business, politics, sports, and the media to share strategies, insights and lessons learned from their personal journeys with the next generation of women leaders nominated by their CEOs to attend, which included representation from more than 80 of the world's leading brands.

Hosted on-site during the week of the 2018 KPMG Women's PGA Championship, the KPMG Women's Leadership Summit featured distinguished speakers and panelists including:

Keynote speakers:

  • Condoleezza Rice – 66th U.S. Secretary of State;
  • Admiral Michelle Howard – U.S. Navy (Retired); and
  • Lynne Doughtie – U.S. Chairman and CEO, KPMG

Olympian panelists:

  • Nancy Kerrigan – Two-time Olympic Medalist & U.S. National Champion, Figure Skating;
  • Hilary Knight – Olympic Medalist, Team USA Hockey; and
  • Maia Shibutani – Olympic Medalist, U.S. Figure Skating.

NBC's Sunday Night Football Sideline Reporter Michele Tafoya served as the master of ceremonies. Sessions were moderated by NBC on-air talent including Dan Hicks, Host of NBC Sports' golf coverage and play-by-play announcer for Swimming and Downhill Skiing for NBC Olympics.

The KPMG Women's PGA Championship, a collaboration between KPMG, PGA of America and LPGA, combines a world-class, annual major golf championship with the KPMG Women's Leadership Summit and KPMG Future Leaders Program – all focused on the development, advancement, and empowerment of women on and off the golf course.

The Championship is currently taking place at Kemper Lakes Golf Club in Kildeer, Illinois and offers a $3.65 million purse, among the highest in women's golf, and will be broadcast on NBC and Golf Channel. 

Net proceeds from the KPMG Women's PGA Championship and KPMG Women's Leadership Summit fund the KPMG Future Leaders Program, a charitable initiative that affords top female high school seniors across the country the opportunity to enhance their personal growth through college scholarships, a leadership development retreat at Stanford University, a mentoring relationship with a woman business leader, and an introduction to golf. Condoleezza Rice serves as the program's ambassador.
