CHARLOTTE, N.C., Jan. 18, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- The 12th annual RISE Nashville Summit, a conference for health care professionals, will feature special presentations by Grammy Award-winning country music star, activist and author Naomi Judd; renowned healthcare futurist and medical crisis expert Dr. Peter Salgo; and J.R. Martinez, a retired U.S. Army soldier, author, motivational speaker and winner of the 13th season of "Dancing with the Stars."

For three days, March 11-13, more than 1,200 health plan executives, service providers and solution specialists from across the nation will convene in Nashville, Tennessee, to discuss innovations in risk adjustment and quality improvement, practical data and analytics strategies, collaborative payer-provider programs, emerging trends and other preparedness tools.

Presented by the Resource Initiative and Society for Education (RISE), this flagship conference gives health care payer executives and risk-bearing providers a front-row seat to industry experts, high-profile speakers, world-class networking and educational opportunities.

During the keynote address, "The Next Phase of Healthcare," Dr. Peter Salgo will examine wellness as a cornerstone for the future of modern medicine, and how to move beyond traditional practices to keep people healthy before they become ill.

Guest speaker J.R. Martinez, a U.S. Army veteran - whose body was severely burned in 2003, when the Humvee he was driving in Iraq hit a roadside bomb - will share his inspiring story: "Survival, Perseverance and the Integral Role of the Healthcare Professional."

For her presentation "Overcoming the Challenges of Mental Health," Naomi Judd will discuss her life-long battle with mental illness and share how a single mom from Kentucky beat tremendous odds to become one of country music's biggest stars.

"Known for intensive learning opportunities and world-class presentations by trusted thought leaders, the RISE Nashville Summit is the go-to conference health care professionals attend to sharpen their skills," says Kevin Mowll, executive director of the RISE Association. "It also doubles as a premier networking event, where people can re-connect with fellow colleagues, meet with vendors and discover new business opportunities. But one thing is certain: If you miss it, none of these great things will have the chance to happen."

With more than 35 sessions across six unique educational tracks, the RISE Nashville Summit covers everything from coding and risk adjusted revenue, member engagement and care management to performance-boosting Stars and HEDIS programs, emerging technologies and national policy updates.
