WASHINGTON, Oct. 16, 2017 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) is pleased to announce their annual Women's Business Conference (WBC) will serve as a stop in the U.S. Government's Road to the Global Entrepreneurship Summit (GES).

The NAWBO WBC will take place in Minneapolis October 16-17, 2017. The event will bring together several hundred women business owners from around the world and will feature remarks from U.S State Department officials as well as a NAWBO member selected to travel to the GES in India in November.
The eighth annual GES will be held in Hyderabad, India on November 28-30, 2017. This year's Summit will highlight the theme Women First, Prosperity for All, and will focus on supporting women entrepreneurs and fostering economic growth globally. Ivanka Trump, Advisor to President Trump will headline the United States delegation to the Summit. In the lead-up to the Summit, the Road to GES series creates opportunities for discussion, investment and collaboration in cities across the United States, India and around the world. These partnerships accelerate job creation, private-sector connection and innovation in markets and communities.
The collaboration with the U.S. Global Entrepreneurship Initiative is one of several internationally focused initiatives in both the public and private sectors over the last several years. These efforts are sponsored through both NAWBO's C6 arm, NAWBO National and C3 entity, the Institute for Entrepreneurial Development, the latter of which is aimed at helping women entrepreneurs in the "missing middle" reach the $1M in annual revenue mark. NAWBO has also engaged in international partnerships and events with Femmes Chefs d'Entreprises Mondiales (FCEM), the Institute for Economic Empowerment of Women (IEEW), the International Council on Small Business (ICSB) and the Global Summit of Women.
